September 9, 2009 will be one year. He was my moms only son, he has 4 sisters including me, and 2 children. Our world changed and every single aspect of our lives have been affected. I can't imagine that there are so many others out there in our shoes. Justice is not being served in our opinion which impedes our grieving process and only adds to our anger, guilt, resentment, and sadness. The pain and anger seems to consume my thoughts daily. I applaude you ladies for your strength. I hope one day I have someone say that about me. The only thing I feel keeping me going is my own children,husband,sisters, and our mom. My heart hurts more everytime I see another member to this club from hell! Losing a loved one is beyond understanding, reason and our minds ability to comprehend. I lost my daughter Holly, 20, 11/11/07 the same way. I have a son Jake, who is now 21, 18 at the time, and being a guy he holds back his emotion at times, or keeps it so noone else sees. So reading this beautiful memorial to your brother who you obviously adored, really touches me, Sometimes I think siblings get lost in the parents grief, and don't want to burden, and God forbid may feel left out. But, your pain is very real, and I respect and acknowledge it. I will pray for you, and the memory of your beautiful brother Brett. If you need me, I am here. God Bless you for sharing this.
