Hi, I’m Stacy Jo, the Lead Designer and Owner of Mountain Webs.
Most of the time I will be your point of contact, however, I sometimes have 2 contract Designers helping out. I love working with other business owners and think each one has a unique story to share. Here is my story…
Stacy Vanden Heuvel grew up in Atlanta, GA, and received a scholarship to Auburn University where she earned her B.F.A. in Visual Communication. She started her career designing for the publishing industry and then created award-winning graphic design in real estate. In 2008, Stacy began her web design journey as Lead Designer for her own design business, Mountain Webs. The goal was for her and her team to create innovative WordPress websites with wide appeal and successfully extending client’s branding online. Clients have included service companies, bars and restaurants, bed and breakfasts, real estate agencies, non-profits, architects, boutiques, galleries, spas, consultants, churches, pastoral counselors and more.
Stacy has worked from a variety of cities in the U.S. with clients from many locations. To fuel her design inspiration, Stacy usually works in an office overflowing with books, diverse music, and photos from her trips to Europe. Stacy is proud to have attended two Atlanta WordCamps (a Sponsor at Atlanta WordCamp 2014), a Speaker at Grand Rapids WordCamp 2017, a Happiness Bar Volunteer at Grand Rapids WordCamp 2018 and just attended a fantastic Grand Rapids WordCamp 2019.
Why the name “Mountain Webs”? I am passionate about spending time outdoors. That is me trad climbing in North Carolina on the left. I also enjoy kayaking and hiking everywhere. Pics of my adventures have been posted on Seattle Backpackers Magazine FB page and an article was written about me in Verve Magazine: Asheville’s Most Fascinating Women. Although, there are no mountains to climb where we live in Michigan, my husband, three sons and Chipoo keep me very, very busy.
